Disclaimer :- This is not a Money Manifestation method. However, it might result in you creating wealth, investing your money wisely and most important – enjoying your rewards guilt free and with gratitude. Sounds interesting? Read on.
The Inner Child is that part of you that got left behind. The rest of you grew up – physically and mentally. You wrote exams, acquired degrees, got jobs or built a business, paid taxes, invested your money, bought insurance, homes, cars, went on holidays, got married, had kids and sent them to school or college – depending on whichever is the life stage you’re at.
A little part of you looks at this journey and says
“What’s the point? “I still feel left out, neglected, abandoned, rejected, dejected and very sad.”
OR
”I worked so hard to get here despite all the obstacles and it’s worn me out – I’m too tired. Was it even worth it ?”
OR
“Why is it never enough? What am I trying to accomplish running around like a headless chicken?
OR
“It’s just not fair how things fall into people’s laps and I’m jogging to even stay in the same place, I’m so angry.”
Let’s take a look at the emotions in these questions one by one.
Sadness
If you are sad, it means there are unhealed parts of your childhood which are waiting to be felt and grieved. It is likely you went through times when indeed you did not receive care, love or understanding. These lonely, abandoned parts of you are a store of sadness you access when even a minor disappointment triggers them. All the material success has not helped you heal them. Consider that success looked like a solution to your real emptiness. That success does not replace feeling safe and loved.
Doubt
When you question if all your efforts were in vain, a part of you is in deep self-doubt. It is confusing why the well laid plans don’t seem to be working. This also leads to feeling betrayed. You were told if you worked hard, got good grades, were honest and persistent, you would win, make the transition to greatness, glory and happiness. It seems like that promise has not been kept by life. Know that no one, no book or theory can put an end to your doubts and fears. There is no authority you can grab by their collar and ask why does my inner state still feel like its fighting or fleeing. Know that at the root of doubt, lies fear.
Fear
Contemplating your state of futile hustling and bustling can get very scary. It can throw up a frequent and nagging fear that what if it’s not good enough, or YOU are not good enough. You may end up staying up nights doing the math, reassuring yourself that you are secure. Meeting your fear, squarely facing your fearful parts, validating your fears will inspire courage. You will learn that your being transforms to hold your fearful parts with your confident and reassured self.
Anger
The rush of how dare some person or situation get the better of me is sometimes scary to the people in your life or even yourself. Its very real. Yet if you were schooled to suppress anger or taught that anger is a bad thing, you struggle with it. At the root of anger is helplessness and disbelief. Allowing yourself to be angry, to vent out your rage in healthy ways will let you live in peace.
We are talking about the emotional blocks that can emerge from our inner child and impact our relationship with money. By addressing these emotions—sadness, doubt, fear, and anger—and understanding their roots, you can begin the journey of healing and transformation. Here’s how this work can support you.
Understanding Your Emotions About Money
As you look at your financial struggles through the lens of external circumstances—a bad investment, economic downturns, or insufficient income, you miss a crucial layer: the inner emotional narrative driving your financial decisions. By recognizing how unresolved childhood experiences shape your beliefs about money, you can gain clarity on your relationship with money. Whether you overspend, undersave, or feel guilty enjoying your earnings, understanding how to relate to your work, your life and money is the first step toward freeing yourself up from these patterns.
Building Self-Awareness
Awareness is power. Once you can hear your inner child’s voice—the one whispering, “You’re not good enough” or “You’ll never have enough”—you can challenge and change these limiting beliefs. Self-awareness brings the ability to pause, reflect, and make decisions aligned with your authentic self rather than emotional reactions coming from the past.
Learning to Grieve and Release Sadness
When you are carrying sadness, acknowledging the pain of unmet childhood needs is a profoundly healing path. Grieving what was lost—be it safety, love, or understanding—creates space for self-compassion. As you give yourself permission to feel and release this sadness, you will no longer seek comfort in over spending to fill an emotional void. Nor will you deny yourself the comforts and luxury you deserve. Healing the sadness coming from your childhood, helps you to enjoy wisely what you have created for yourself. Your outlook to working, earning, saving and spending transforms and aligns with your real goals.
Rebuilding Trust and Overcoming Doubt
Your inner child received confusing messages that made them doubt themselves and others. Self-doubt makes it difficult to trust your decisions and take consistent actions on the path you have chosen. Through inner child healing, you can build a more nurturing relationship with yourself. This would mean validating your fears, celebrating small wins, and learning to trust your judgment. Over time, this trust translates into more confident financial choices, whether that’s negotiating a raise, investing in a new venture, or setting firm financial boundaries.
Transforming Fear into Courage
Fear, when unaddressed, can keep you stuck in scarcity mindsets or immobilized by perfectionism. By meeting your fears with compassion, knowing where they originated, you’ll tap into the courage needed to pursue opportunities that are apt for you. You will clearly see that you don’t need to feel threatened, you have provided for contingencies and collaborated with those you can trust. This transformation is a game-changer for building wealth and abundance while staying true to your values.
Channeling Anger into Empowerment
Anger, often misunderstood, holds immense energy. When you allow yourself to feel your anger and express it in healthy ways—through journaling, therapy, or creative outlets—you can redirect that energy into assertive action. This might look like setting firmer boundaries in financial negotiations, advocating for a fairer compensation, or taking charge of your financial future with renewed determination.
Reclaiming Joy and Abundance
As you heal your inner child and dismantle the emotional blocks tied to money, you open yourself up to genuine joy and abundance. No longer weighed down by guilt or fear, you can savor the fruits of your labour—whether that’s indulging in a well-deserved vacation, investing in personal growth, or simply enjoying a sense of financial security without constant worry.
